Tornado Relief Efforts and Opportunities
Volunteer and donor opportunities to help those affected by the April 16th tornados:
Donate Funds:
Triangle Community Foundation NC Tornado Relief Fund
Funds will be directed to Triangle-based nonprofits or churches directly helping individuals and families now, and organizations helping with long-term rebuilding.
Funds can be donated online or through our Texting campaign!

UNC Center for Public Service – Campus Disaster Relief Fund
Central Carolina Community College Student Emergency Fund for those students affected by the recent tornado attending CCCC (primarily living in Lee County). Students apply for small grnats ($100-$200) to cover items that were damaged that a student would use while at school and might not be covered by insurance (books, computers, etc.).Donate Goods:
Raleigh Rescue Mission: Donations of perishable food.
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle: Non-perishable foods
Salvation Army (Wake and Johnston Counties): Food, furniture, household items, baby formula, diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and financial donations.
Wake County Animal Shelter: Pet food
Raleigh Community Services Department: Commercial Services or Supplies
Safe Haven for Cats: Cat food, litter, carriers, bowls, bedding.
Love Wins Ministries: Tents, $30 Walmart Gift Cards
Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina: Food or supplies.
Urban Ministries of Wake County, Inc.: Food, blankets, toiletries, first aid kits
Learning Together: Monetary donations to replace food lost by power outage.
Share Our Shoes: Gently used shoes.

Wake County is still actively recruiting volunteers for tornado cleanup efforts. Opportunities on 4/30 and more.
YWCA on Hargett Street: Post-Tornado Clean Up Day from 9a - 6p on Thursday 4/21
Wake County 4-H: Volunteers needed 4/20, 4/21, 4/22 from 10a-3p to help with activities for kids from the Stony Brook Mobile Home Park Area. Contact heather.tart@wakegov.com for more information.
MERCI: Volunteers needed to help in Lions Park Neighborhood. Donations also requested. (4/20)
Chavis Community Center/South Park: Debris and tree cleanup volunteers.
Wake Boys and Girls Club: Debris cleanup, powerwashing, serving lunch. (Bring tools) Volunteers needed on 4/29.
Basic Needs Ministry/Cleveland Library: Sort/Handout clothing and goods.
Samaritan’s Purse: Debris cleanup, emergency home repairs, ministry.
WRAL Telethon: Volunteers needed on Wednesday 4/20
