Are you a community leader – new or experienced – working on health, justice and/or environmental issues?
Would professional, financial and moral support help you to keep fighting the good fight, and to be more effective in your leadership?
Would you like to connect with community leaders from across the state working on similar issues to collaborate and share ideas and skills?
Please apply to join Toxic Free NC’s Community Leadership Council! Toxic Free NC is seeking partners in community-based work across North Carolina to join this innovative Council, now in its third year of developing leadership and protecting community health from pesticides and other toxics.
What our Council members get:
• All-expenses-paid access to professional development and skill sharing that is tailored to their needs.
• Annual honoraria to offset the cost of participation.
• Opportunities to collaborate with Toxic Free NC and community leaders from across the state on programming, fundraising and capacity building.
• Direct access to Toxic Free NC’s experienced staff for all kinds of support.
What our Council members give:
• Time for six meetings per year: two full-day meetings requiring travel, and 4 short meetings done remotely from home via phone or internet.
• Ideas, advice, experience, energy and compassion to help all the Council members and Toxic Free NC to grow stronger and more effective in our work to protect rural and low-income communities from toxic pollution.
