Grant Opportunity: The Art of Giving Fund
The Art of Giving Fund is interested in funding organizations that impact the lives of women and children in the community in the areas of poverty, domestic violence, affordable housing, substance abuse, mental health, and job readiness and employment.
We anticipate that we will have $10,000 to $25,000 available for grantmaking this cycle, which may be distributed to one or more organizations.
I would like to invite you to submit a brief letter of inquiry, along with a project budget if needed, for review by our grants committee. Once the letters of inquiry are reviewed, The Art of Giving Fund Grant Committee will invite organizations to complete a full grant proposal. Your submission of a letter of inquiry does not guarantee formal consideration for funding.
All organizations which submit letters of inquiry must meet the following criteria:
Whose primary mission and/or project purpose is to serve women and/or women with families;
Be located and provide services in one of the four counties of the Triangle: Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake;
Qualify as tax exempt under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code (fiscal agent) or be classified as a unit of government;
Not discriminate on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, physical ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious organization that serves exclusively sectarian purposes.
If you are interested in being considered, please complete and return the letter of inquiry form no later than June 20, 2011. You will be contacted after our meeting on July 21, 2011 to let you know of the committee's decision.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Veronica Hemmingway at (919) 474-8370 ext. 126 or email email@example.com.
