The mission of Capital City Intergenerational Care, Incorporated (CCICI) is to provide an environment where senior citizens, adults, youth and children receive ongoing services and care in the same environment and to promote interaction among life span age groups through planned intergenerational activities.

Genesis Children and Youth Programs serves children in K-8 Grade. Fees are kept low and are used to help defray expenses. Staff work with students to assist in mastering objectives as measured on the NC End-of-Grade tests in reading and mathematics. Programs are subsidized by First Baptist Church and through donations.

Heading here...Genesis 21st Century Community Learning Center
Funded by a federal grant through the NC Department of Public Instruction, Genesis 21st Century Community Learning Center serves 60 middle school students who scored Level I or II on the NC End-of-Grade tests of reading & mathematics. At the Center, students are given assistance with homework and participate in activities which address academics in a nontraditional manner.
The four-year grant award is in the amount of $100,000 Years 1 and 2 and decreases by 20% & 40% Years 3 and 4, respectively. Genesis 21s CCLC is in its third year.
Heading here...Adult Day Care and Health Services_ Planned for the near future, CCICI's _Adult Day Care and Health Services component will provide an environment where senior citizens can be with others who have similar conditions and participate in affirming meaningful activities while maintaining as much personal independence as possible.
