CMF Announces 2009 Donation Amounts/ Recipients

As a result of its 2008-2009 fundraising efforts, the Crape Myrtle Festival Board and Steering Committee announce their recipients and donated anmounts:
Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina, Inc. $25,000
Equality NC Foundation $3,000
El Centro Hispano, Inc. $3,000
Duke AIDS Legal Project $2,000
The LGBT Center of Raleigh, Inc. $1,500
SWOOP (Strong Women Organizing Outrageous Projects) $500
Since 1981, the Crape Myrtle Festival has raised over $1,000,000 for organizations serving persons living with HIV/AIDS, as well as gay and lesbian supportive groups throughout the Triangle Region of North Carolina.
The Crape Myrtle Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
