Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina – News
Every day, over 500,000 people in central & eastern North Carolina ask themselves the question "Where is my next meal coming from?" Especially heartbreaking are the 160,000 children that suffer from hunger daily.
For nearly 30 years, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC has been working to make sure that no one in central & eastern NC goes hungry. Through a network of 800 partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, daycares & senior facilities, the Food Bank provides fresh, wholesome foods to those who need it most.
Last year, we provided over 41 million pounds of food - that's equivalent to nearly 120,000 meals a day.
For every dollar donated to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, we can provide $8.00 worth of food or 4 meals. Join us in fighting hunger in central & eastern North Carolina!
