Reuse Rodeo To Be Held September 17 in Cary
September 14, 2011
The Town of Cary, in partnership with the Triangle Reuse Alliance, is hosting a Reuse Rodeo on September 17 from 10am-1pm. The event will be held at Garmon Operations Center, 400 James Jackson Avenue in Cary. The public is welcome to drop off unwanted items to benefit four area nonprofit organizations. The organizations and the items they will accept are listed below.
Dorcas Ministries (www.dorcas-cary.org) will collect:
- gently used clothing and shoes
- toys
- small appliances (microwaves,lamps,stereos)
- jewelry
The Carying Place (www.thecaryingplace.org) will accept:
- Dining tables with chairs
- Coffee tables
- Small armchairs
- Side tables
- Small rugs 8X10
- Washers and dryers in good condition
- Bedroom Furniture, including twin mattresses and box springs; full mattresses and box springs; bed frames to fit twin, full or queen size mattresses; head boards for twin, full or queen size beds; bedroom side tables
- Dressers
The Scrap Exchange (www.scrapexchange.org) will be on hand accepting the following items:
- Fabric
- Sewing notions such as thread, needles, buttons
- Yarn
- Craft / Art supplies
- Corks, bottle caps, twist ties
- Picture frames
Share Our Shoes (www.shareourshoes.org) will accept ANY type of shoe, no matter what the condition!
