Triangle Area Chinese American Society – Opportunities
Founded on September 22, 1979, Triangle Area Chinese American Society (TACAS) is a non-political, non-profit, public education, cultural exchange, and public serve organization. The objectives of the organizations are:
- To foster the Chinese-American cultural exchange programs,
- To promote Chinese language and cultural education,
- To take part in the public welfare and charitable activities, and
- To participate in seminars, lectures and serve on various boards.
TACAS organizes the Triangle area's largest Chinese New Year Festival, held at the NC state fairgrounds from 2006 to present, and present Chinese culture and cuisine at the annual International Festival. TACAS also partners with other organizations to execute health fairs, immigration seminars, and other programs to serve Chinese Americans and Asian Americans, and hosts foreign delegations of performers.
