Triangle ArtWorks, Inc.

Triangle ArtWorks mission is to "provide the services, support and resources necessary to cultivate and ensure a vibrant creative community in the Triangle region of North Carolina." ArtWorks launched its website (www.triangleartworks.org) in July, which will serve as the centerpoint of the organization. On the website, members of the creative community will be able to find the resources they need, both from the Triangle and across the country. We are working hard to load more areas of content on the website, such as venues and grants, and will continually update these resources. Through forums and twitter lists, ArtWorks is beginning its work of connecting the community to each other, an effort that will continue through networking, educational and other events.

Through the site blog and social media, ArtWorks makes it easy for the community to keep up to date on news and information relevant to their work. ArtWorks provides information on regional educational and networking opportunites, as well as job openings. In addition, we will work to keep the creative community, as an economic class, informed of civic actions that may affect their work and provide the information they need to be heard on such issues. We are in discussions with various creative discipline groups about more specific ways that ArtWorks can help connect and support individual disciplines within the Triangle, as well as ways to promote collaboration between disciplines.

ArtWorks' Board of Directors is currently working on a Strategic Plan to guide its future activities, including work in areas such as marketing, business consulting, and health care.
