Andrea Bazán Appointed to President’s Advisory Council

On February 4th, 2011, President Barack Obama announced his appointments to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. This council, comprised of religious and secular leaders, scholars, and experts, provides recommendations to the government for improving community partnerships. Included in President Obama’s prestigious appointments is Triangle Community Foundation’s President, Andrea Bazán.

Given TCF’s commitment to increasing philanthropy to solve our region’s issues and the importance we place on partnerships with community leaders across the Triangle, the position couldn’t be more timely. This appointment will serve not only to recognize Andrea’s work at the Foundation, but will also allow her to engage with other like-minded leaders from across the nation and bring their ideas to the Triangle. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment.
