Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship:

Triangle Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. The purpose of the Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship is to create a life-transforming opportunity for immigrant or first generation students who have overcome significant adversity, giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams and improve their lives through education or training.

The Scholarship will be awarded to students who have attended a Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools district high school. Applicants are not required to be US Citizens or documented immigrants. The award will cover the cost of tuition and required fees up to a maximum of $20,000 per year and is renewable for a total of four years.
