USO NC Inc
Welcome to the United Service Organizations of North Carolina!
Today, as our predecessors have done since 1941 and our colleagues do in over 145 centers around the world, we continue to serve and support North Carolina’s military – active, National Guard, reserve and retired – and their families. Whether at deployments, homecomings, Honor Support Team activations, airport lounges, Smiles over Miles, United Through Reading and numerous other programs and services, our nearly 700 volunteers statewide and our small professional staff serve over 222,000 patrons annually – leading the way to enrich the lives of America’s military in the Carolinas.
Growing from one center – the oldest continuously operating USO in the world – in Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune, the USO of NC operates four centers in Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune, Raleigh Durham Airport, Charlotte-Douglas Airport and Fort Bragg/Fayetteville. Additionally, a recent donation of a mobile home which was converted into a mobile center, allows us to provide services across the entire Tarheel state – home to nearly 25 percent of our nation’s military – active, guard and reserve.
North Carolinians are very generous of their time, talent and treasure – all essential to our operations. As you visit our virtual site, we welcome you to the very special world of USO of NC and hope you take the opportunity to find out how you can help our nation’s warriors and the families that support them.
We need them, they need the USO of NC and we need you.
Thank you!
