Wesley Campus Ministry at UNC-Chapel Hill
Wesley is a Spirit-led living and learning community where faith development and servant leaders are nurtured: rooted in Jesus Christ, grounded in the Wesleyan tradition and practicing radical hospitality.
Our theme for the 2010-2011 school year is "Where is God in All This?"
Our guiding scripture passage for the 2010-2011 school year comes from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 4, verses 4 through 6:
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, on faith, one baptism, one God and father of all, who is above all and through all in all"
Who we are:
Wesley Campus Ministry is a Methodist ministry targeted to undergraduate university students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Founded on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus in the 1920's Wesley has been serving students for decades.
What we offer:
Worship: Wesley offers weekly worship services on Sundays evenings. There are also small group Bible studies and reflection sessions led by student leaders.
Work Teams: Wesley students have the opportunity to participate in mission trips over fall and spring breaks. In the past, students have visited and worked in Panama, New York City and most recently Arizona and Mexico.
Leadership: Students have the opportunity to be involved in all facets of Wesley Campus Ministry, from planning worship services to sitting on the board of directors. Wesley has something to offer all its students.
Friendship: Wesley has become a home away from home for many students through participation in Wesley's residential community, Wesley House, or weekly dinner and programs. Many lasting friendships have begun within the walls of Wesley.
