The Triangle often ranks as the #1 place to live, work, and play – but how generous are we as a region? How does our giving rank among peer communities throughout the United States? In 2008, Triangle Community Foundation commissioned a study to find out.

How the Triangle Gives Back: A Report to the Region highlights our challenge:

• Our charitable giving lags behind.
• The Triangle’s pool of business giving is shallow.
• The Triangle’s philanthropic sector is less robust than other regions.
• People who have less give more. 

But here’s the good news:
We all have time, talent, and treasure to give - and ALL giving makes a difference.
